What the material here is and is not, a safety note, and how estimates and the guarantee work.

About the content here
The material here, including the articles and the technical explanations, is written for general understanding. It is not a substitute for a site visit and an assessment of the actual conditions.
Every building is its own case: supply capacity, the state of the earthing, the existing wiring and local requirements. Technical decisions should follow a visit, not a web page.
A safety note
Electrical work carries a risk to life. Where the articles here set out steps, they are steps that are safe to take, such as switching devices off and on in a board to narrow down a fault.
Anything that involves opening terminations, touching conductors or working inside a board belongs to somebody qualified. Never bypass an RCD or replace one with an ordinary breaker.
Estimates and prices
No fixed price is published on this site for any service, because without seeing the site any number is a guess. What the service pages list is the factors that set an estimate.
The final estimate follows a visit and is itemised into materials and labour. If something has to be added during the work, it is agreed with the client before it happens.
Guarantee
The workmanship is guaranteed, and a defect in work that was done is put right at no charge.
Installed equipment carries its manufacturer’s own warranty, handed over at completion. The period and scope vary by job type and are agreed clearly before work begins.
The guarantee does not extend to damage caused by somebody else altering the work, to natural events, or to misuse.
