About Moein Sherafatmand

Moein Sherafatmand is an electrician living and working in Gurab Zarmikh, Gilan. He started in building wiring and, as demand in the area grew, extended into solar systems, home automation, CCTV and switchboard building.

The reason for that breadth is practical. In a village or a small town, a client does not want to coordinate a different person for every electrical job. Whoever wired the house is the sensible person to also understand the solar array on its roof, the door entry panel and the camera over the yard, and to install them so that they work together.

The approach rests on three things: measuring rather than guessing, following the national building regulations even when nobody is inspecting, and handing over documentation. A single-line diagram and a circuit schedule can look like paperwork on the day; five years later, when something has to change, that paper is what makes the change cheap.

Working in Gilan sets its own terms. High humidity, heavy rainfall and cold winters change both the equipment and the method: enclosure ratings, cable routes, weather sealing on outdoor intercom panels and galvanised mounting structure for solar all follow from the climate.

Alongside his own practice, Moein is a member of the Norasys (Nora System) team, installing solar, backup power and building automation across Gilan.
