Sometimes what you need is not installation but a straight answer: before buying a house, before signing with a contractor, or when the electricity bill has climbed and nobody can say why. I survey, diagnose with instruments and estimate transparently, including when the work itself ends up going to somebody else.
Scope of work
- Pre-purchase and pre-tenancy inspection of an electrical installation
- Diagnosing abnormal consumption and locating earth leakage
- Earthing system condition and electrode resistance measurement
- Assessment of supply capacity and whether it can be increased
- An independent second opinion on another contractor’s proposal or quote
- Solar feasibility and a realistic payback estimate
- Thermal imaging of boards and terminations to find hot spots
- A written defect list, ranked by risk rather than by cost
- Itemised estimating for new projects
- Equipment selection advice, including what you do not need to buy
Standards and equipment
- 01 Measurements taken with a calibrated multimeter, clamp meter, insulation tester and earth tester
- 02 A written report with measured numbers, not general impressions
- 03 Defects ranked by danger to life, then risk to property, then comfort
- 04 Estimates itemised into materials and labour
- 05 An independent view: work is only recommended where it is genuinely needed
A report with numbers in it
Earth resistance, insulation resistance, leakage current and per-circuit load get measured and recorded. Any other electrician can check those numbers, which is the point of them.
Even if the job goes elsewhere
The survey and report are a standalone service. If you then take the work to another contractor, the report is still yours and still useful.
What drives the cost
There is no fixed price on this page, because without seeing the site any number is a guess. These are the things that set the estimate:
- Property size and how many circuits need testing
- Level of inspection: general survey or deep check with thermal imaging
- Distance from Gurab Zarmikh
- Whether a formal written report is needed or a verbal opinion is enough
- How urgently the visit is needed
This service covers Gurab Zarmikh, Soumeh Sara, Tulam Shahr, Ziabar, Marjaghal, Kasma, Hendekhaleh, Taher Gurab, Nargestan, Gurabpas and the surrounding villages.
Frequently asked
Can I book just a survey, without any work?
Yes, and plenty of people do exactly that: before buying a house, or for a second opinion on somebody else’s quote. The survey and report are a standalone service, and if you take the work elsewhere afterwards, the report with its measured figures is still yours.
My bill has jumped for no reason. Can the cause be found?
Yes. Abnormal consumption is usually one of a few things: earth leakage through perished insulation or damp, a faulty appliance running continuously, a failed heating element in a water heater or air conditioner, or more rarely an unauthorised connection. Clamping each circuit separately shows where the current is going, and the culprit normally turns up in that same visit.
